The Belmar/Wall Recreation Departments sponsor a Junior Lifeguard Program which is open to all active boys and girls ages 9-17. The program hours are 10 AM - 12 Noon, Monday through Thursday, at the Sixth Avenue beach. Instruction is given in first aid, paddling, kayaking and ocean swimming. Complementing the program are four Junior Lifeguard Tournaments. Registration was held April 29th 2010 from 6pm to 8pm at the gym (601 Main Street, Belmar) .
