 The Junior Lifeguard Tournament is CANCELED for July 24, 2008 due to Weather. The new date is friday July 25,2008 Safety first
The Belmar/Wall Recreation Departments sponsor a Junior Lifeguard Program which is open to all active boys and girls ages 10-17. The program starts Tuesday, June 24, 2008 and runs until July 24, 2008 from 10 AM - 12 Noon, Monday through Thursday, at the Sixth Avenue beach. Instruction is given in first aid, paddling, kayaking and ocean swimming. Complementing the program are four Junior Lifeguard Tournaments and two Junior Guard Dances. Registration was held April 16th and 17th from 6pm to 8pm at the gym (601 Main Street, Belmar) The program is filled at that time and we will not be accepting any more children this season.
