Halloween Parade

The Belmar Recreation Department sponsors an annual Halloween Parade for all pre-school and grammar school children in Belmar. They gather in the municipal gym, where they parade before judges in separate grade/age groups. After the judging, everyone marches behind the Belmar Elementary School Band, from the Belmar municipal building to Pyanoe Plaza, where winners are announced,and all participants receive a goody bag compliments of the Belmar Improvement Fund

COSTUME CONTEST: There will be a Halloween costume contest in the Belmar Municipal Gym, 601 Main Street, starting at 6:00pm sharp.  Winners will be announced at Belmar’s Pyanoe Plaza following the parade.  Registration will begin at 5:30 PM and end at 6:00 PM.

 

Judging to begin at 6:00pm with the 5th-8th grade division.

C.  2nd-4th Grade                                                       

D.  5th-8th Grade                                                        

E.  Group (3 person minimum)

NOTE:  No pets allowed in the gym or in the parade!

START:   Belmar Municipal Complex Parking Lot

ROUTE:   Main Street, 6th Avenue to 9th Avenue

FINISH:  Belmar’s Pyanoe Plaza

 

The Halloween Parade and Costume Contest is sponsored by the Belmar Recreation Department, in cooperation with the, Belmar Tourism Commission and the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh
